RJ’s dedication and expertise left a lasting impact on his work family, and his commitment to excellence was evident in all that he undertook. More recently, he ventured into entrepreneurship, co-owning Thomas Brother Auto Sales in Augusta, Georgia, alongside his brother and mother an endeavor that showcased his determination and business acumen.

RJ’s journey through life was not without its share of challenges and heartaches. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Julia Jackson and Johnnie Mae Florence, as well as his beloved Mother Dorothy J. RJ is survived by his devoted mother and bonus dad, Veronica (Ronnie) Hickman, and his father, Rodagus Marilento Thomas, Sr. He is also survived by his sister, Jasmine Walden, and his brother, Elder Justin Thomas.

RJ’s aunts and uncles, Floria Miles, Brinnie Lewis, Emerson Thomas, James (Burnestine) Thomas, Kenneth (Susie) Thomas, Michael (Liz) Thomas, LaStarza Thomas, Frances Adams, Faye Walden, Barbara (Ivy) Williams, Mirenda Walden, Valerie (Tommy) Moment, Michael (Brenda) Walden, Darryl (Nakia) Walden, and Crystal Walden, along with a loving godson, Jordan Walden, formed a close-knit network of family and friends who shared in the joy of his presence.
